DESCRIPTION
The 2008 calendar features new illustrations and quotations just for 2008! Shannon penned all the script within the book in different calligraphies and varying fonts.
All the original lines are hand drawn. The pages of the calendar/ weekly planner book are made of sturdy paper, and coil-bound so that the book opens flat, with thick plastic covers that can take a whack. The book, when closed, measures about 6" x 8.5". For each week of the year, there is a two-page spread. The right side of the spread has the days of the week, and the left side of the spread has a little piece of art or quote, and lots of open space to doodle and dabble. Every book is numbered and signed as a print.
This calendar and weekly planner has a year overview calendar for both 2008 and 2009. The 2008 monthly calendars are all together for easy year planning. All US federal holidays are listed, plus religious holidays for Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, as well as traditional Celtic harvest festivals. The phases of the moon are recorded quarterly. There are blank pages for notes at the beginning and end of the book.
WHY DO YOU MAKE THIS CALENDAR?
A few years ago, I was looking to buy a weekly planner that was beautiful inside, had thick pages to handle inky pens, and open space to sketch and write down notes. I couldn't find one- so I made my own. It was just about my favorite project ever; I played with different writing styles, drew little pictures, and collected quotes for the fun of it. Some of my friends told me that I ought to make more for them too. Last year I finally did, and that was the first shaniworks weekly planner/ calendar printing.
